LibreOffice Calc and other OpenDocument editors create ODS spreadsheets.

What changes in the conversion

CSV has one table and no type information. Quotes protect commas and line breaks. Import formula-like values as text when opening them in a spreadsheet.

This is a values-only conversion. Formatting, merged cells, charts, images, comments, links, macros, and original metadata are removed. Formulas become saved results, which may be stale; missing results and error cells are rejected. Dates become ISO strings.

Size limits and browser notes

Runs in a browser worker. Limits: 10 MB input, 100 MB expanded container, 50 worksheets, 50,000 rows, 256 columns, and 100,000 selected cells. Encrypted and damaged files are rejected. Spreadsheet styling and recalculation are not supported.

Are formulas calculated?

No. Only the last saved formula result is exported. Recalculate and save the file in Excel or LibreOffice before converting.

What happens to multiple worksheets?

Leave the worksheet field empty for all sheets, or enter a sheet number. Each selected sheet is a separate file; multiple sheets download together as a ZIP. Hidden sheets are included when all sheets are selected.
