How to convert JSON to ODS
- Choose JSON files up to 10 MB.
- Use UTF-8 JSON containing a nonempty array of objects.
- Review the report and download the ODS file.
Where this file comes from
APIs and application exports produce JSON records as arrays of objects.
What changes in the conversion
ODS is an OpenDocument spreadsheet for LibreOffice Calc. Values and sheet names are exported without copying Excel-specific workbook features.
The union of record keys becomes the first row of one worksheet. Numbers and booleans keep their types; missing and null values become blank cells. Nested objects and arrays become JSON text. String values are stored as text, without executing formulas. Numbers use JavaScript precision; store very large integers as strings.
Size limits and browser notes
- Accepts .json files up to 10 MB each.
- You can convert several files at once; they download together as one ZIP.
- Everything runs in your browser, so very large files depend on your device's memory.
Runs in a browser worker. Limits: 10 MB input, 100 MB expanded container, 50 worksheets, 50,000 rows, 256 columns, and 100,000 selected cells. Encrypted and damaged files are rejected. Spreadsheet styling and recalculation are not supported.
