How to convert TIFF to WebP
- Choose TIFF files up to 20 MB.
- Open settings to select one TIFF page, or leave the field empty for all pages.
- Review the conversion report and download the WebP result or page ZIP.
Where this file comes from
Scanners, document archives, and image editors produce TIFF files. A TIFF can contain several pages, different color depths, and embedded metadata.
What changes in the conversion
Embedded TIFF pages are decoded to 8-bit RGBA, and the orientation tag is applied. Each selected page becomes a separate image; multiple pages download in a ZIP. TIFF metadata, profiles, original compression, and higher color depth are removed. SubIFDs, EXIF/GPS directories, BigTIFF, and camera RAW files are rejected. WebP uses lossy compression while preserving transparency.
Size limits and browser notes
- Accepts .tiff, .tif files up to 20 MB each.
- You can convert several files at once; they download together as one ZIP.
- Everything runs in your browser, so very large files depend on your device's memory.
Modern browser required. Images are limited to 8192 pixels per side and 16 megapixels. TIFFs allow at most 50 pages and 32 megapixels total. AVIF input needs a native AVIF decoder.
FAQ
Can I convert a multipage TIFF?
Yes. Leave the page field empty for all pages, or enter a page number. Several selected pages download as separate images inside a ZIP.
Will my file be uploaded?
No. Processing runs on your device after the required converter libraries load. File contents and names are not sent to a server.
What should I check after conversion?
Open the downloaded file in your target application and check dimensions, transparency, colors, and any removed metadata.
