How to convert DOCX to HTML
- Choose DOCX files up to 10 MB.
- Use an unlocked DOCX file and review the supported content limits.
- Review the conversion report and download the HTML result.
Where this file comes from
Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and LibreOffice export modern Word documents as DOCX packages. Legacy DOC and encrypted documents are not supported.
What changes in the conversion
Supported headings, paragraphs, lists, tables, emphasis, and embedded PNG/JPEG/GIF/WebP images become sanitized HTML. The download blocks scripts and external resources. Link destinations, fonts, original styles, page layout, unsupported images, headers/footers, and Word document metadata are removed.
Size limits and browser notes
- Accepts .docx files up to 10 MB each.
- You can convert several files at once; they download together as one ZIP.
- Everything runs in your browser, so very large files depend on your device's memory.
Modern DOCX only; maximum 10 MB input, 100 MB expanded package, and 20 million output characters. Legacy DOC and encrypted files are not supported. HTML sanitization runs on the page.
FAQ
Will the output look exactly like Word?
No. This exports supported document content. Exact pagination, fonts, and page layout are not reproduced; check complex tables and unsupported document features.
Will my file be uploaded?
No. Processing runs on your device after the required converter libraries load. File contents and names are not sent to a server.
What should I check after conversion?
Review tables, reading order, and unsupported content. Output is intended for content reuse rather than exact layout.
